Lots of spectators watching to see who will win the race!
The helicopter follows the race leaders, so we know that they are approaching!
The winners (AGAIN) - Shell Va'a from Tahiti. It was their 4th win in a row! They came in at 4:38:50, just 15 seconds slower than their 2008 winning time, which was a record for the fastest crossing. We'll have to see if they can make it 5 in a row in 2011. The Tahitians in general have really made huge strides in outrigger racing in the past 5 years - this year the top 4 crews were all from Tahiti!
